All over the country, digs are being
done.  In NY scientists found traces
of copper wire 10 feet down, dating
back 100 yrs. and concluded their
ancestors had phones back then. 
Not to be outdone, CA dug 20 feet
and found 200 yr. old copper wire
and said their ancestors had high
tech communications 100 years
earlier than NY.  Ole, a self taught
archaeologist in IA, dug as deep as
30 ft. and announced that 300 yrs.
ago IA had already gone wireless.
