Overall the market was termed
steady.  New hay (both alfalfa
and grass) was well received and
of good quality.  It sold well.  Old
hay was basically steady to weak.

 

A Sunday School teacher posed many
situations to her children, always con-
cluding with "Would that get me into
heaven?"  Such as "gave all my money
to the poor, kept everything neat & tidy,
kind to animals, loved my kids & husband,"
and on and on.  Each time they shouted, "NO,
that would not get you into heaven."  Finally she
asked "Then how can I get into heaven?"
thinking her kids were a bit more theological
than she gave them credit for.  One little boy
shouted, "YOU GOTTA BE DEAD."

Market termed strong today.
A number of loads today were out
of condition.

 

I MUST BE GETTING W-A-A-Y OLD!
You don't have to agree with that sentence,
but this morning I was washing some siding
on our house in a nook where the rain
does not hit, but the dust rolls in!  So
up on the ladder I went to wash it down.
An UPS truck comes rolling down our
street and came to a stop in front of our
house.  The driver (whom I did not know)
leaned out and called, *You be careful
on that ladder!*  ONLY IN A SMALL
TOWN.  (True story - FVS)
