HAY DAY slated for March 25.
Rumor:  Strapping contest &
rules in the making...crazy fun!

The beauty of mathematics.
Have your children/grandkids
work this out & watch what
happens:
     1 x 8 + 1 = 9
   12 x 8 + 2 = 98
 123 x 8 + 3 = 987
Follow the pattern till you
get to 9s in the formula
on the left.  Next would be
1234 x 8 + 4 = ????

looked back & turned to salt.*
Jim asked, *What happened to the flea?*

HAY DAY slated for March 25.
See the auction of last week for details
of prizes and a planning strap throw contest.
THE STUD
2 priests died at the same time & met St. Peter
(at the gate) who said he could not get them in
today because the computer was down (sound
familiar?)  Peter asked them to go back to Earth
for a week, but said they could not go back as
priests.  So the first priest said he always wanted
to be an eagle, soaring above the Rocky Mts.
Wish was granted.  2nd priest thinks & asks if
this week would *count?*  Peter said it would not
because the computer was down & there was no
way to keep track of what was being done.  *In that
case,* priest says, *I have always wanted to be a stud."
Wish granted.  The week passes & the Lord tells
Peter to recall the priests.  *It will be easy to locate
the first one; he is flying with eagles over the Rockies.
The 2nd one will be more difficult.*  *Why?* asks the
Lord.  *He is on a snow tire somewhere in the Midwest.*

32 loads today.  Rock Valley High
School played in the state tourney
this morning (as well as Monday -
which sort of wreaks havoc with the
sale) and enters the championship
game tomorrow night!!  Congrats!!
Western Christian in Hull also is
playing today; many Rock Valleyites
attend this school.  Therefore, the
town is more or less shut down -
except for the faithful hay auction!

The annual HAY DAY for 2010 is
slated for MARCH 25.  Some local
paper said May 25-that is an error!!
Don't miss this day - trucks begin
lining the streets at 9 a.m.  Some
merchants have hay day specials.
Ask the guys about the strap throwing
contest.

A young lady from Maurice, IA in
Feb. overturned her vehicle in a ditch
near Beresford, SD.  In this week*s
paper she wrote a thank you to two hay
haulers from RV who aided her and kept
her calm.  She called them *Angels of the
Highways.*  We are proud of our drivers
and now 2 more of them have their wings:
Andrew & James!

A man owned a small farm in Ireland.
The IR determined he was not paying
proper wages to his staff and sent an
investigator to interview him. The investigator
demanded a list of his employees and how
much they were paid. Well, replied the farmer,
there is my farm hand, who has been with me 3
years.  I pay him $200 a week plus free room
and board. The cook has been here for 18
months and I pay her $150 per week plus
free room and board. Then theres the half wit.
He works about 18 hours a day and does
about 90% of all the work.  He makes about
$10. a week and pays his own room and board,
and I buy him a bottle of whiskey every Saturday
night.  He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.
Thats the guy I want to talk to ...the halfwit, said the
agent.  That would be ME, replied the farmer.

A Bottle of Wine
Bad car accident.  Both cars totaled.
Neither ot them is hurt.  After they
crawl out of thier cars, the man is
yelling about women drivers. The
woman says, So youre a man.  Im a
woman.  Wow, look at our cars,
but we are unhurt.  This must be a
sign from God that we should be
friends and live in peace for the rest
of our days.  Flattered the man replies,
I agree completely this must be a sign
from God.  But your still at fault.
Women should not be allowed to drive.
The woman continues, Heres another miracle.
This bottle of wine didnt even break. God
wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our
good fortune.  She hands the bottle to the man.
He nods and opens it and drinks half the bottle
then hands it back to the woman.   She takes the
bottle puts the cap back on and hands it back.
Arent you having any? he asks.
No, she replies, I think Ill just wait for the police...

Quips to ponder:  How long a minute is depends
what side of the bathroom door you are on.  Living
on earth is expensive, but it includes a free trip
around the sun every year!  Learn from CRAYONS:
some are sharp, some pretty, some dull, some have
wierd names.  They are all different, but exist nicely
in the same box.

I took a Cadillac Escalade out for a test drive
just to drive that sucker before it became extinct.
The salesman sat in the back seat describing
the car and all its wonderful options.  The
seats were of particular interest.  He explained
they directed warm air to your butt in the winter and
cool air to your butt in the summer heat.  I stated
the car must be a Republican car.  Looking angry,
the salesman asked why I thought that!  I explained
if it were a Democrat car, the seats would blow
smoke up your butt year around.  I had to walk
back to the dealership!
