          30  loads
Alfalfa and grass were stronger
today.  The quality was average.
Great demand for all classes of
hay.  There was no bedding today.

 

Bits and Pieces:
Visiting 3 year old granddaughter
catching lightning bugs in a jar asks,
*Gma, what size batteries do these
bugs take?*
Polarize\po-lur-ize\:What penguins
see with.
2 fish are in a tank.  One says to
the other, * Do you know how to
drive this thing?*
The greatest use of a life is to
spend it for something that will
outlast life.

   57  loads- Market was pretty
steady compared to last week.

Iowans know the Hawkeyes &
Cyclones play each other this
weekend. A Hawkeye and a
Cyclone come across a lantern.
A genie pops out & grants them
each a wish.  C said, *I want a
wall around Ames so no Hs
can come into our city.*  POOF
there was a huge wall.  The H,
a civil engineer, asks, *Tell me
about the wall.*  Genie says
*It*s about 15,000 ft. high, 500
ft. thick and completely surrounds
Ames so nothing can get in or
out.  It is impenetrable*  Then
H says, *Fill it with water.*

      62 loads.   Today the market
was a little off across the board.

 

Have you been blessed to be a blessing?
Area churches are collecting donated
hay for the south.  If anyone has any
hay they would like to donate, it can
be brought to the Rock Valley Hay
Auction Yard and from here it will
be trucked to the south.  It can be
any size and type of bales.  This
should be brought in basically by
the end of September.  Call if you
have questions.

 

To get more out of life, give more
of yourself.     No matter how hard
you hug your money, it never hugs
back.

      54 loads.  Market was slightly
weaker to steady today.  Quality
was a little lower today.  We are
still waiting to receive some donated
hay for our southern hay-needy friends.

 

Old Ethel decided to have her portrait
painted.  She told the artist, *I want
you to paint me with a diamond neck-
lace & earrings, emerald bracelets &
a ruby pendant.*  Said the artist, *But
you are not wearing those things.*
*I know,* she said.  It*s in case I die
before my husband.  I know he*ll
marry one of his little girlfriends right
away, & I want her to go crazy looking
for the jewelry.*   from our friend,
Bill Rozeboom, now in Inwood.
