Paul took his wife Erin to the state fair every year, and every time he would say to her, \u201cErin, you know that I\u2019d love to go for a ride in that helicopter.\u201d But Erin would always reply, \u201cI know that Paul, but that helicopter ride is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dollars.\u201d Finally, they went to the fair, and Paul said, \u201cErin, you know I\u2019m 87 years old now. If I don\u2019t ride that helicopter this year, I may never get another chance.\u201d Erin replied, \u201cPaul, you know that helicopter is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dollars.\u201d This time the helicopter pilot overheard the couple\u2019s conversation and said, \u201cListen folks, I\u2019ll make a deal with you. I\u2019ll take both of you for a ride; if you can both stay quiet for the entire ride and not say a word, I won\u2019t charge you! But if you say just one word, it\u2019s 50 dollars.\u201d Paul and Erin agreed and up they went in the helicopter. The pilot did his death-defying tricks repeatedly, but still there wasn\u2019t so much as one word said. When they finally landed, the pilot turned to Paul and said, \u201cWow! I\u2019ve got to hand it to you. I did everything I could to get you to scream or shout out, but you didn\u2019t. I\u2019m really impressed!\u201d Paul replied, \u201cWell to be honest I almost said something when Erin fell out but, you know, 50 dollars is 50 dollars!\u201d<\/p>\n
