** I was walking with my 5 year old daughter. She picked something up off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the thing away from her and asked her not to do that. \u201cWhy?\u201d she asked. \u201cBecause it\u2019s been on the ground, and you don\u2019t know where it\u2019s been. It\u2019s dirty. And it probably has germs.\u201d At this point, my daughter looked at me with absolute admiration and asked, \u201cMom, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart.\u201d I thought quickly and replied, \u201cAll moms know this stuff. It\u2019s on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don\u2019t let you be a Mom.\u201d We walked along in silence for two or three minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.
\n\u201cOh, I get it!\u201d she beamed, \u201cSo if you don\u2019t pass the test, you have to be the dad!\u201d \u201cExactly,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n
